What to know about speakers
Speaker choice is mostly a question of where the sound has to come from and how much of the room it has to cover. Syskonics groups its range by mounting method for exactly that reason: wall mount, ceiling, pendant and garden speakers for distributed 100V line systems, plus passive cabinets and subwoofers for foreground sound reinforcement.
Distributed speakers are the ones that fit into a building. They take a tap setting rather than a fixed impedance, which means many of them share one amplifier and one pair of cables. Passive speakers and subwoofers work the other way — one cabinet, one amplifier channel, far more output per box.

01Which speaker type suits a classroom or office?
Rooms with a false ceiling usually take ceiling speakers, because the coverage lands evenly and nothing is visible at eye level. Rooms with a hard or high ceiling take wall mount speakers instead, angled down into the seating area. Both run from the same 100V line amplifier.
02Can I mix speaker types on one amplifier?
Yes, provided every speaker is set to a 100V tap and the total of all the tap settings stays inside the amplifier's rated output. Mixing wall mount and ceiling speakers on one line is completely normal in a building that has both kinds of space.
03Are any of these speakers suitable for outdoor use?
The garden speaker range is built for it, with PP plastic enclosures designed for landscaped areas. Several wall mount models — SYS-401, SYS-501 and SYS-601 — are specified as water resistant for covered outdoor and washdown-adjacent locations.
