What to know about amplifiers
The amplifier is the part of a public address system that decides how far a voice actually carries. Syskonics builds mixer amplifiers, zone controller amplifiers and compact in-wall amplifiers covering 35W to 800W of rated output, all with constant-voltage speaker taps alongside conventional low-impedance outputs.
Most installations here run on 100V line. That is what lets a single amplifier drive dozens of ceiling or wall speakers over long cable runs without losing level, and it is why every amplifier in this range carries COM / 70V / 100V terminals as well as a 4-16 ohm output.
Where a building needs different audio in different areas — a staff room that stays quiet while a corridor takes an announcement — the multi-zone models give each zone its own volume control or switch.

01What size PA amplifier do I need?
Add up the tap settings of every speaker on the line, then choose an amplifier rated at least 20-30% above that total so it is not run at full output continuously. A corridor with twenty 10W ceiling speakers draws 200W, so a 250W or 350W amplifier is the sensible choice.
02What is the difference between a mixer amplifier and a power amplifier?
A mixer amplifier combines the mixing stage and the power stage in one chassis, with microphone and auxiliary inputs, tone controls and speaker taps built in. A power amplifier only amplifies a signal that has already been mixed elsewhere. For most PA installations the mixer amplifier is the simpler and more compact option.
03Do these amplifiers support Bluetooth and USB playback?
Most models do. Across the range you will find Bluetooth, FM radio, USB and SD card playback, and several models add a remote controller or an LCD screen. The exact combination is listed in the specifications of each product.
