What to know about audio feedback
Feedback is the howl that appears when a microphone picks up its own amplified output. Good microphone placement prevents most of it, but rooms with hard surfaces, high gain requirements or roaming presenters will still hit it.
A feedback suppressor sits between the mixer and the amplifier and uses digital signal processing to find the offending frequencies and notch them out as they start to ring, rather than requiring someone to pull the fader down.
